So recently i've read 2 of jojo moyes' novels, which are Me Before You and The Girl You Left Behind. At first, when i went to a bookstore, i totally didn't put up a lot of interest on them. Like the titles, both of them, are kinda refer to some of those fluffy, lovey dovey books. Yeah the titles are totally lovey dovey, i think. But after that, i looked up on the internet and found out that one of my favorite singer and also great magnificent dancer (re:exo kai) is reading that Me Before You novel. Well, it kinda surprised me. A hot bad boy but kind and lovely handsome amazing dancer exo kai is reading that 'i thought lovey dovey titled book'. Interesting. So i went back to the bookstore and purchased it (the price is slightly higher than the others, so sad) and then i immediately read it after i got home.AND I JUST CAN'T STOP READING IT. LIKE OMG. This book (Me Before You) is totally not a lovey dovey book like i thought before, but surely there are some part that is lovey dovey, but not much, and i like it. Too much romance is not healthy i think haha. The story is not mainstream, not too fictional and more kinda real life story, not too imaginary kinda thing that sometimes i hate it (gosh but they're sometimes guilty pleasure though), and not much lovey dovey. And the main part is, this is a lovely tragic sad story. Like, i cried at the end of the book, not much, but i cried. HA. Yeah the ending is really sad, and tragic, for sure, that's what i like about it. I really like this book and i think it's recommended for you guys to add it to your next reading list!
And for the next book, The Girl You Left Behind, is a also one of the most captivating book for me. Like, i can stay on the couch reading this all day long, and i really did though. I found this book really really really hard to put down. I remember reading this from the morning until midnight, like my eyes turned really heavy and tired, but i just cant resist the urge to keep reading it til the end. The plot makes you curious even more every time you flipped through the pages, and you just want to know what the next chapter is going to tell you. The story is unexpected, hard to guessed, and like i said, it really makes you curios overtime. It's also not a lovey dovey book, rarely some romance happen, but even though there are not much romance, i find it really lovely. And i love it, totally recommended.
I don't want to tell you about the whole story about both of the books, well you can google it, i'm just pouring out my opinion about them here. I definitely think these Jojo Moyes' books are a five-star. It's my opinion though, but i totally recommend you to read it, like you won't ever regret purchasing these books. Ever. I also planned to buy another books by jojo moyes which i totally put a high expectation on and i'll tell you later the review after i read those books.
Happy reading!
xoxo:*
